Frequently Asked Questions
Question:
If you are measuring static charge on an object shouldn't the Peak Hold voltage and the real time voltage correspond?
Answer:
A "discrepancy" in real-time vs. peak hold is usually attributed to one of the following:
- AC noise in the measured voltage.
-
A fall-off from the initial peak of the measured voltage. Some very fast pulses in the measured voltage which are "captured" by the peak hold circuits, but may not be seen on the real time display.
